Pick a random item from your list

A fair random picker for any list

Each non-empty line is one entry and every entry has the same chance; empty lines are ignored. The pick uses crypto.getRandomValues, so it cannot be predicted, and the list never leaves your browser.

Frequently asked questions

Is the random pick really fair?

Yes. Each line has the same probability, and the index is chosen with crypto.getRandomValues, which is designed to be unpredictable.

Can I use it for a giveaway or raffle?

Yes. Paste the participants, one per line, and draw. If someone has several entries, list them several times.

Can the same item be picked twice?

Yes. Each draw is independent and uses the full list. To draw without repetition, delete the winner from the list before drawing again.

Is there a limit on the number of items?

There is no fixed limit; lists with thousands of lines work fine.
